Volvo Repair & Service in Murfreesboro, TN
PCV system failures, cooling work, and suspension service on P1, P2, P3, and SPA platform Volvos. Reliable cars that get neglected at high mileage — and we know where they go wrong.
What we do most on Volvos
The jobs that arrive regularly on P2 through SPA platforms.
- PCV system overhaul (B5254 · B6324 — XC90 · S60 · V70) — The single most common job on high-mileage P2 Volvos. Oil vapor, smoke, and rough idle that gets worse until the whole system is replaced as a kit. Doing it in pieces gets expensive.
- Cooling system service (T5 · T6 — P3 · SPA) — Thermostat housing, water pump, and the hoses that crack before anything else. Done together to avoid doing it twice.
- Transmission service (AW55-50SN · TF-80SC) — Fluid that gets dark before the interval, and valve bodies that fault when it does. Proper fluid service keeps these transmissions working.
- Suspension refresh and alignment (P2 · P3 · XC60 · XC90) — Front control arms and the alignment that should follow any replacement. P2 XC90 front ends wear fast under load.
- Oil leaks and gasket work (B5254 · B6304) — Cam seals, front main, and the oil trap system that contributes to leaks when it fails. Diagnosed and addressed together.
- Pre-purchase inspection — High-mileage Volvos are often worth buying if the PCV and cooling are sorted. We tell you what you're getting into before you sign anything.

Questions we get on every car
The same answers whatever badge is on the hood.
European is our specialty and most of the daily work, but the bays stay open for anything we can do properly. If a job needs a tool or a platform we do not have, we will tell you rather than learn on your car.
Scheduled maintenance done by an independent shop with correct parts and documented intervals does not void a factory warranty. We keep records specifically so you have the paperwork if it is ever questioned.
Diagnostics are quoted up front, then the repair is quoted separately once we know the actual cause. Nothing extra happens without your approval — if a job turns up something unexpected we stop and call you.
OE or OE-equivalent for most jobs, with the reasoning explained. Where an aftermarket part is genuinely better — and on some of these platforms it is — we will say so and let you choose.
Most maintenance is same day or next day. Bigger jobs get a date when we quote them, and you get a call if anything changes rather than silence.
Absolutely, and plenty of people do. Bring us the other shop's quote and we will tell you honestly whether we would do the same work.
