AUDI REPAIR & SERVICE · MURFREESBORO

Audi Repair & Service in Murfreesboro, TN

Carbon buildup, timing service, and quattro drivetrain work on B8 through B9 and 8V through 8Y platforms. We see these regularly and know where the turbocharged four-cylinders decide to give you trouble.

What we do most on Audis

The jobs that come through the bays on a regular basis, and the platforms they typically arrive on.

  • Carbon cleaning and intake service (EA888 · 2.0T · 2.5) — Direct injection means no fuel washing the valves. Carbon builds up, power drops, and idle gets rough. We walnut-blast and verify with a borescope before closing up.
  • Timing chain and tensioner (EA888 Gen 1 · Gen 2) — The early 2.0T timing system fails with enough miles. Rattles on cold start are the tell. We do the full job — chain, guides, tensioner, and water pump in one visit.
  • DSG service and clutch pack (S-tronic DQ250 · DQ381) — DSG fluid needs changing more often than the interval suggests. Hard shifts and slip on launch come first, then the clutch pack.
  • Quattro drivetrain and Haldex service (TT S · RS3) — Haldex filter and fluid is a one-afternoon job most people skip until the car understeers in a way that surprises them.
  • Suspension refresh and alignment (B8 · B9 · 8V) — Control arms, ball joints, and a full four-wheel alignment after. Audi suspension geometry is sensitive to wear.
  • Oil consumption and PCV (2.0T EA888) — Burning oil and smoke on startup usually trace to PCV or piston ring wear. We run a compression check before quoting anything.

Questions we get on every car

The same answers whatever badge is on the hood.

Do you only work on European cars?+

European is our specialty and most of the daily work, but the bays stay open for anything we can do properly. If a job needs a tool or a platform we do not have, we will tell you rather than learn on your car.

Can you service my car without voiding the warranty?+

Scheduled maintenance done by an independent shop with correct parts and documented intervals does not void a factory warranty. We keep records specifically so you have the paperwork if it is ever questioned.

How do you price repairs?+

Diagnostics are quoted up front, then the repair is quoted separately once we know the actual cause. Nothing extra happens without your approval — if a job turns up something unexpected we stop and call you.

Do you use factory parts?+

OE or OE-equivalent for most jobs, with the reasoning explained. Where an aftermarket part is genuinely better — and on some of these platforms it is — we will say so and let you choose.

How long will my car be there?+

Most maintenance is same day or next day. Bigger jobs get a date when we quote them, and you get a call if anything changes rather than silence.

Can I just get a second opinion?+

Absolutely, and plenty of people do. Bring us the other shop's quote and we will tell you honestly whether we would do the same work.
